Business Model – Direct-to-Customer & Flexible Production

Luxratee was founded in late 2023 with a clear decision from the start: to sell directly to customers through the official website, without using resellers or large e-commerce platforms. This approach keeps the distance between the workshop and the person wearing the shirt as short as possible, ensuring each product arrives with the same quality it had when it left Luxratee’s hands. This model allows Luxratee to control the entire process – from selecting fabrics, sewing, printing, to packing – while keeping prices fair and transparent. It also enables Luxratee to respond quickly to any request, whether for a single shirt or a large order.

The Luxratee workshop is located in Westchester, California, covering 50m² – cozy enough for everyone to work closely together, yet spacious enough to house all the necessary equipment. Six industrial sewing machines operate daily, alongside two screen-print setups for durable one-color designs, a DTG printer for colorful, detailed graphics, and a heat press for securing prints.

Luxratee’s customers are mainly young people aged 20–35 who enjoy a comfortable, minimalist style with a touch of personality. Luxratee also works with friend groups, clubs, trucker communities, sports teams, and music fans – anyone looking for uniforms or gifts with a personal mark.

Main Products – T-shirts & Sweatshirts

Luxratee focuses on two core product lines: T-shirts and sweatshirts. Both are available in two formats. One is ready-to-ship – pre-printed designs kept in stock for immediate dispatch. The other is custom – allowing customers to create a shirt that is entirely their own.

Fabric selection is a top priority for Luxratee. T-shirts are made from soft, natural cotton or a cotton blend (around 50% cotton and 50% polyester), combining breathability and softness with better color retention, fewer wrinkles, and easier care. Sweatshirts use premium fleece at 320 GSM, providing warmth and a smooth surface for sharp printing. Most T-shirts are 180–200 GSM – light and breathable yet structured enough to hold a nice shape for everyday wear.

Before sewing, all fabrics undergo pre-shrinking and anti-pilling treatment to maintain their shape and color even after dozens of washes, provided they are cared for properly – cold water wash, flat dry, and avoiding high heat. Luxratee is transparent about material sources: cotton from Bayside Apparel & Textiles (California), known for strong, even fibers and consistent color; fleece from American Fleece Mills (North Carolina), offering slight stretch and an excellent print surface. Every new design is approved only after two tests – print testing for color accuracy, sharpness, and ink adhesion, and wear-and-wash testing for fit, colorfastness, and durability – before mass production begins.

Production Process & Quality Control

Every Luxratee product starts from a roll of raw fabric. When a batch arrives at the workshop, Luxratee measures GSM to confirm the weight, checks colors under natural and artificial light to avoid shade differences, and washes a sample to test shrinkage and colorfastness. Only fabrics that pass these checks move on to cutting, where they are shaped using precise patterns for each size.

Sewing is done with care, with shoulder and sleeve seams always double-stitched for added durability. Before printing, all loose threads are removed to keep the shirt surface clean. Depending on the design, Luxratee uses screen printing for simple, large-quantity designs, DTG printing for colorful and detailed graphics, or heat transfer for special effects. After printing, each shirt is heat-pressed to secure the ink.

Before leaving the workshop, each item undergoes a three-step inspection: sewing quality, print quality, and size accuracy. If any issue is found, Luxratee will replace or refund the product within seven days.

Luxratee operates with a small but adaptable team – one designer, two sewers, one printer, one quality control specialist, and one customer service representative. When orders increase or deadlines are tight, team members assist each other across roles to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
